I joined Math Matters because it created a platform for me to directly apply my interest for math in a meaningful way. Ever since elementary school, math has always been one of my favorite subjects, and I have challenged myself with harder math classes and math competitions throughout the years. Enjoying math requires a strong foundation: without it, math can be frustrating and even demoralizing. I am thankful that I am able to establish a solid foundation from the help I received from my teachers and friends. Now that I am an older student, I feel obligated to provide the same helping hand to the others along the way. Especially in these uncertain times, I think it is very meaningful to share my interest in math with the younger students through Math Matters, and to guide them on what can be an enjoyable journey for them as well.
