Steve Wu

I joined the big family of Math Matters in 2019. Teaching students and working with fellow volunteers have promoted my growth both as a teacher and a collaborator. With my help, one of my students at El Toro library completed an assignment that he did not complete in a week, and he eagerly showed off his accomplishments to his brother. As his mother thanked me for my help, I saw the impact I could make as a teacher, and I felt much happier than the boy himself at the moment. I will try my best to continue cultivating students’ interest in learning mathematics while establishing a friendly relationship with them both inside and outside of the classroom.
