Since joining Math Matters as a tutor, I am able to share my love for math to the students I teach. When I joined Math Matters during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a huge need for math tutoring and supplementing math education for other students. My role in Math Matters helped me feel involved in my community and allowed me to bridge disparities in math that arose during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, I am grateful to be serving as a co-director and supervising other tutors that want to make a positive change in their community. This role allows me to guide tutors similar to how my previous co-directors guided me.
