I chose to volunteer at Math Matters because I am passionate about mathematics and knew that volunteering with this organization would let me use my skills in math to make a difference in helping others. My tutoring experience began at the beginning of quarantine when schools turned to online distance learning. I would like to help younger students whose education has been affected by the coronavirus during the pandemic. By volunteering at Math Matters, I can utilize my passion and skills in mathematics to help others and make a contribution to local communities. My volunteering experiences have built up my leadership and communication skills.
